Teens messing with teens ended up as a tragedy in Little Rock, Arkansas on Monday, when a 15 year old girl was shot to death by an angry homeowner.
Police said that a handful of teens had been “egging” the home of Willie Noble, the 48 year old resident, in retaliation for an earlier prank involving his son and some flaming dog shit.
Witnesses reported that Willie came out of his house, gun blazing, just as 15 year old Adrian Broadway was preparing to throw a Grade A extra large missile. The girl was struck by one bullet and later died without expressing remorse. The egg was unharmed.
District Attorney Virgil Max said that Noble, a black man, would be charged with murder.
“He claimed to be using the Arkansas “egg beater” defense (similar to Florida’s Stand Your Ground) but it’s obvious he doesn’t understand the legislation. The defense is only valid if the shooter is white and picking off black troublemakers. In this case Mr. Noble has egg on his face”, chuckled Max.
Authorities said they were investigating the suspect’s possession of a firearm and whether he had illegally obtained it by marking “white” on the DOJ form as his race at the time of purchase.
George Zimmerman, famed Neighborhood Watch vigilante, who was calling 911 from his home in Florida at the time of the Arkansas shooting, remarked that “Skittles look a lot like eggs” when in the hands of black teenagers.
